December is one of the busiest months of the year, if not the busiest! We hope you’re excited and ready for the festivities of the winter season. Today the blog for Madison New Britain is featuring some quick tips for getting and staying organized as we head into December here in Chalfont, PA.
Tip #1 — At the start of the week, make a list entitled, “Things to Do Today.” At the end of the day, review your list and evaluate how your day went, making a list for the following day of what you need to catch up on and of what else you should take care of that specific day. Simply being aware of what is coming up can make the day go more smoothly.
Tip #2 — Prioritize your to-do list, on paper and in action. Make a note of where you have flexibility and adjust your list throughout the day so the most important things get finished first, putting the less important tasks at the bottom of the list for you to focus on when you have time.
Tip #3 — Decide and lay out the clothes you are going to wear the next day. Doing so will prevent unexpected discoveries of impending disasters in the morning when you are in a hurry. As you’re doing so, check the forecast for Chalfont, PA so you can ensure you’ll be dressed appropriately (and so you don’t have to waste time adjusting or changing your outfit once you get outside and realize you’re not prepared!).
Tip #4 — If you take a lunch to work, prepare it the night before so you have a few minutes in the morning to relax as you contemplate or get ready for your day.
Tip #5 — Cut out unessential activities and appointments. Do you have to schedule that dentist appointment in December? If not, reschedule. As part of your scheduling, block out some down time for yourself so you can enjoy this wonderful time of the year to the fullest.
